This hillside villa in Riviera had no drip edge on its terrace — which is also the roof of the flat below.
💧 Without it, rainwater ran down the facade and ceiling instead of dripping off the edge, slowly seeping into the walls and causing damp spots inside.
Our DRY-EXPERTs retrofitted a proper drip edge by cutting a precise groove along the terrace ceiling and sealing it with a flexible, UV-resistant sealant — that’s the grey stripe you can see.
Now the facade can dry naturally, and the indoor damp issues will soon be history.
✅ Result: lasting protection, a healthy indoor climate, and one more worry-free homeowner.
💧 Persistent Damp & Mould – Problem Solved!
The dining room beneath this roof terrace had ongoing moisture and mould on the ceiling.
🔎 Our DRY-EXPERTs found the cause above: tiny gaps in the metal drain inlays allowed water to seep into the masonry.
Over time, this moisture cooled the ceiling and caused damp patches and mould to form.
🛠️ We permanently solved the issue by sealing all joints and the drain with a flexible, UV-resistant waterproof sealant — it won’t crack under heat or movement, ensuring lasting protection and a healthier home.
✨ Our client can now enjoy their space again — fresh, dry, and worry-free.
🧰 Our DRY-EXPERTs just completed this project!
A built-in wardrobe had severe humidity, damp and mould problems hidden behind its wooden wall panels.
The result? A musty, damp-smelling closet — no matter how often it was aired out.
💧 We removed all affected wall panels and damp plaster, dried the area thoroughly, and waterproofed the walls.
Then we replastered and applied additional protective measures to make sure mould can’t return.
🌬️ To maintain a healthy indoor climate, we also installed a smart extractor unit to keep humidity at optimal levels.
✨ The result: a permanently dry wardrobe, fresh clothes, and another happy client!
🏠 Whether it’s a damp wardrobe, mould on walls or rising humidity — we’ll help you solve it too.
In collaboration with MRA Construction Estepona , we’re currently renovating this leaking pool in Mijas. 💧
The roof of this home was weathered and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We carried out a professional roof cleaning to improve the appearance. Further repairs as well as intact insulation and waterproof impregnation are also planned at the customer's request.
In this residential complex, intelligent ventilation systems were installed in around 50 storage rooms/trasteros in the underground garage to prevent mold growth, damp, and moisture in the long term.
This luxury villa in Marbella had a leaking pool which was affecting the basement apartment below (view next slide). Our experts had to remove all of the tiles, install a waterproof sealing and retile.
This is the underlying basement apartment that had a wet wall from the pool above (view previous slide). Our experts had to remove the dripping wet "drywalls"/plaster boards, rip out the rusty stilts/support beams, and seal the wall. Lastly, they reinstalled new beams and drywall, installed fans for air circulation behind the drywall, and apply our special paint-like anti-condensation coating. The other walls were suffering from rising damp due to broken or insufficient ground sealing. The old plaster was removed and the walls were injected with BKM-Mannesmann HZ-250 PRO (liquid) to make the walls hydrophobic (water-repellent). After the liquid displaced the humidity inside the walls it was time to replaster with the waterproof but breathable plaster system and apply the anti-condensation coating.
Despite renovation, the tenants of this house in Estepona suffered from damp walls. Tar paper and drywall were used to conceal the problem, but the moisture couldn't be prevented permanently. During the rainy season, groundwater seeped in from the outside, exacerbating the issue. Our experts analyzed the situation, removed the old plaster, and used dehumidifiers to dry the walls. Subsequently, a waterproof plaster system was applied and the walls were painted to prevent condensation and mold growth. The tenants and owner were relieved when the new measurement results indicated that the problem had been resolved.
This newly built house in Benalmádena Pueblo had rising damp on the pillars and outside walls even before it was first occupied which caused the paint and plaster to come off. Our experts removed the old and wet plaster, injected our special hydrophobic liquid (HZ250 PRO) that will passively displace the humidity inside the wall over the next months, replastered it with our breathable/waterproof plaster, and repainted it with a breathable fassade paint to to ensure the evaporation of any trapped humidity inside the walls. The result is dry and beautiful walls that last for many years.
In this hillside house in Algeciras, rising damp had gotten so bad in the lower levels that the plaster and paint started cracking and falling off the walls. Upon entering the rooms, you immediately felt the high humidity inside the air. Or experts removed all of the old and wet plaster and injected the walls with BKM-Mannesmann HZ250 PRO (liquid) which makes the walls hydrophobic (water-repellent). After the liquid displaced the humidity out of the walls it was time to replaster with our waterproof but breathable plaster system and apply the anti-condensation coating.
The owner of this hill-side luxury villa in Benahavis contacted us in early 2022 and we visited him soon after. Upon entering this basement bedroom, you could immediately tell that the walls were incredibly wet due to the high humidity inside the air. He told our technicians that opening the windows multiple times a day barely made a difference and obviously didn't solve the issue. After taking many measurements with their professional moisture-and-humidity-detection devices, our experts knew the problem was penetrating damp, which makes sense as the outside wall faces the hillside, so all of the rainwater can flow towards the house underground. Over time and without any systems to prevent that from happening, it was just a matter of time. Luckily, this is our experts' specialty as they have solved this exact issue many times in the past.
In this second home in Coín, our experts were called to investigate and fix a wet wall that caused plaster and paint to bubble, crack and fall off. After a short examination, our experts found out that it was a very thin brick wall (about 5-10 cm thick) that was put in front of the original wall with a cavity in between. The owners didn't know anything about it as they hadn't been told before the purchase. After measuring the humidity levels inside the wall our experts were certain that this was not rising damp but rather that the humidity had to be coming from the other side like a broken pipe or sealing, our experts therefore recommended removing the wall entirely to get a look behind. Shortly after, those assumptions were confirmed; multiple pipes from a drain on the other side running towards the house's wall, bending right before the thin brick wall. To no surprise, one of the pipes was fully covered in rust and had small holes. Our experts replaced the rusty and broken metal pipes with plastic ones that they properly sealed/glued together. They then built a new thicker wall that they treated to prevent any chance of rising damp in the future. Our breathable but waterproof plaster was used to ensure that no humidity was trapped and paired with our anti-condensation coating the walls will be dry for many years.
